Nina Rivas is a 16-year-old girl who lives in a small town called Ginger Creek. She's lived there ever since her parents divorced when she was 5. Her mom had bought a for-sale storefront and opened her own Cafe, "The Burnt Cup". Now Nina spends each afternoon there with her best friends, Kai and Katelyn. Her sister used to help her mom but now that she is off to college Nina's brother Madison helps instead. All her friends and her brother go to Ginger-creek Highschool. Nina loves photography and reading but hates math.

One day, all of her friends end up being busy so Nina is left to sulk in the shop until she can see them again. While sitting there she sees someone new, which was rare, Ginger Creek NEVER got any new people. He ends up being a friend of her brothers, but he's at practice so why is this new guy here. They were both bored. Keaton, the new guy, decided it's best if he introduce himself and now....Well, let's just say things are WAY more complicated.
