In this alternate universe, a very dangerous and contagious virus (accidentally made by Surgeo) has been going around turning Mixels into cannibalistic mutant spiders. Despite Mixelland being a breeding ground for the diseased, Flain and the other tribes must band together to survive the outbreak and hopefully find a cure.
**Disclaimer: please don't make fun of some of the comics from this AU. I made those drawings during the beginning of 2024 so you might see some art improvement as the story goes.**
*Also, I don't own Mixels, LEGO does.*

When Burnard and Meltus were hunting for buried treasure due to extreme boredom, they find a mysterious device that tells Burnard and Meltus to take it to Rokit. When they show it to Flamzer, he allows them to max with him and fly up to he moon, but when Burnard and Rokit accidentally activate the device, they start experience many, many different alternate realities. This takes place before the Invader Zim movie, "Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus". Credits to ZootyCutie for the Flipped Sides Universe (which is introduced in the second chapter of this story). Trigger warning - Severely sensitive topics. Around 25 years ago, an unknown virus plagued the Earth- targeting none other than the cells responsible for constructing one's genetic code. Humans, animals, plants- any living matter that comes in contact with it quickly faces its immense mutational power, sparking nothing but unruly destruction. This living nightmare demanded more than a simple adaptation, it forced a complete overhaul on daily life. Yet, despite humanity's best efforts to adapt to this new system- cities plummeted to the ground, nations were obliterated in chaotic arrays of fire, countries infected by the scourge of madness brought about by meaningless war. Humanity was driven to the brink of extinction. In a desperate attempt to survive these conditions, humanity came up with something to protect them. Colonies. A radius considered a "Safe Zone", as it incapacitates any infected attempting to breach its perimeter. Its the perfect environment to rebuild what's left of society. On the flip-side, the infected create nests of their own, producing genetic amalgams beyond human comprehension, and attracting many others of their kind. It is assumed that their sole objective is to propagate. Consume. These are called "Contamination Zones", and their increased numbers have caused dozens of Colonies, and outposts alike, to suffer breaches and irreversible changes all over the continent. The infected are ruthlessly growing stronger. Rhys, the Warden of Zamaton Colony, has taken measures to prevent the catastrophic events from ever reaching their quiet life, where Kayden Moss, the survivalist in question, has lived for the past 3 years. If all goes well, they'll avoid these breaches, Or so it seems...

The Rewritten Quest For The Lost Mixamajig
NOTE: I do not own Mixels and therefore this is not an official canon Mixels work of fiction and applies nothing to the overall series nor its overall lore. It's a project meant to elevate QFTLM's standards of entertainment in which is nonofficial fanfiction. Only LEGO and Cartoon Network (more specifically Fred Tatasciore) owns the Mixels franchise. All rights reserved. WARNING: This fanfiction, much like nearly EVERY fanfiction I write, does not actually explain who the characters in the story are or the franchise they come from (the show "Mixels" in this case), so do be sure to watch the Mixels series on YouTube or Archive.com in order to properly get a better grasp at what is happening in the story (and I do best recommend watching an episode of Mixels in which the fanfiction is related to). The personalities of some mixels along with a few scenes have been changed to either seem less unlikable, to be more accurate to their LEGO set descriptions, or to fit the story more. This story may also contain spoilers for the entire finale of Mixels known as "QFTLM", some harassment (namely Krog towards Snoof & King Nixel towards Major Nixel), some implications of trauma, at least ONE instance of a swear word, and some pretty dark scenes. And because this fanfiction is a sequel to Mixels Rush, "Mixel Tornado Rush Hour", much like the canon counterparts of the two, this fanfic will take place a few years after the Mixels Rush rewrite. In life, there's many questions that have yet to be answered. Who was the one who created the world? How did the Mixel and Nixel species first begin? And are we all truly special..?
