[Complete - under editing] (A fan's side story of Upon Wings of Change) *I thank Crystal Scherer for the wonderful book that inspired this run off story that takes place in the same universe! I dedicate this story as a gift to her and all her readers!* Aspen wasn't the only one to be kidnapped and turned into a dragonet, but she WAS the only one who had a something to hide, outside of their human intelligence. Armed with nothing but the wings on her back and the claws on her feet, Aspen did her best just to survive her new environment. But just as she was starting to get used to her surroundings and her newly acquired skills, the rug is pulled out from underneath her once again. Now with the looming threat of aliens, aliens, and more aliens, Aspen has even more piled onto her already overflowing plate. Sneak peak: It wasn't fair. And knowing that unfairness was just part of life, didn't make me feel any better. Life had dealt us a hand of rotting lemons and all I wanted to do was throw them and make life take them back. But I couldn't. I was stuck with these rotting lemons and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get rid of them. (Quick disclamer: Most characters within this story are my own. The universe is not mine. I might have slipped from cannon an intsy tiny bit. My story in no way rips off Crystal Scherer's original story of Upon Wings of Change. Only builds upon it. A Wings Of Fire story that takes place in the depths of the Sky'wing Kingdom, following the story of a powerful hybrid dragonet who has to fight in the infamous arena regularly for most of his life, until... ? This a story based on the book series Wings Of Fire, obviously. In this universe, most of the canon events didn't happen, and are instead replaced by my own original stories and characters. No canon characters from the books exist in this world. There is at least one fantribe in this world, that fantribe belonging to me. Mud'wings don't exist in this world, because i have an unexplained hatred for them. WARNINGS: • Violence + blood • May contain explicit / aggresive language / Mild swearing, etc. • May contain character death / drama, etc. You may: • Draw fanart of the characters. • Write about the characters. COVER ART IS BY ME AU Series in place of book 15. Follows closely after the events of book 14. Dragon aging is different in this series- ages up to 8 are dragonet, 9 to 12 is teenager, 12 to 20 is young adult, 20+ is adult. This excuses any questions about aging. It had been eleven years since Crab had died. And Jellyfish missed him. Her brother was the only reason she was alive, and it felt as though it was her fault that he was dead. Life was awful now. Every dragon had a target on their back, and going up to the surface was quite a dangerous task. The remaining dragons of Pyrrhia have waged war on each other, each believing that they had the right solution to fix everything. But in Jellyfish's eyes, it was all so, so wrong. But as bad as it is, Jellyfish has a mostly normal teenage life. Friends to hang out and laugh with, school to keep her occupied, and the constant desire to love and go to parties. It really couldn't get worse, right? It did, though. Danger and hatred swoop in on two wings into Jellyfish's life, and it will never, ever be the same. Plus a really creepy prophecy. We love those.
