Up above I could see the blonde boy looking down at me and smiling. Seeing him made me smile back for some reason. I've never seen him before but I already know how I feel about him. And how he feels about me. He loves me, and I love him. I noticed that there was something on his neck, they looked like... teeth marks. He's Marked, and so am I. My hand was no longer on my neck when I had fell in. There was a huge bubble that came from the bottom of the lake. I could see my reflection in it and my hair moved out of the way on its own and what I saw confirmed it. The place where my neck was burning, where my shoulder and neck meet, there were teeth marks. The Mark of a Mate.

I wasn't angry about it though, I was happy. I started to float to the surface towards the boy. He reached out his hand for me to grab. I was almost out when all of a sudden Keenan attacked the boy from behind. The smile faded off his face as he kept looking at me. I opened my mouth to scream but nothing came out. The blonde boy fell into the water, lifeless. I tried to swim and pull him up to the surface, but I couldn't. It wasn't that he was heavy, he just wouldn't budge. Again I tried to scream, but nothing was coming out. I started to rise to the surface, but I tried to swim to him trying to scream.

Then I broke through the surface.
