After getting to know him he wonders why he's here, little does he know he's even worse off than he is.

Alex is sent to boarding school cause he keeps getting expelled and his parents are over it so they send him to boarding school. He's anxious about everything but he covers it up with humor like he does with everything else. He meets his roommate and he seems crazy at first but turns out Alex and his roommate are very similar.
