A Retelling of the Grimm Brothers' Cinderella

Sinderella retells the classic story of the Grimm Brothers' renowned fairytale Cinderella.

What if Cinderella was the bratty one and not the stepsisters? What if the stepmother and stepsisters had a good reason to dislike Cinderella? This story flips the classic Cinderella narrative upside down.

Cinderella was adopted by a wealthy and wise man in the kingdom of Everglade. As Cinderella grew up, she was taught about the importance of humility and the unimportance of wealth and extravagance. However, Cinderella soon rebelled against what she was taught and became a very selfish and mean-spirited woman.

Cinderella's selfish ways would later come back to bite her. Her choices and actions may affect her chance at a future in a royal life.

As her story unfolds, Cinderella will learn about selflessness, pride, true beauty, and charity.

One evil step-mother, two annoying step-sisters and one oblivious father. That's how far Anika's story coincides with Cinderella. In a turn of events, the similarities become glaringly obvious. The only question that remains, will Anika fit into Cinderella's shoes? Caution: Readers might forget what Cinderella was actually about.
