--|Description: Y/N L/N, a young robotics engineer, transferred to New York City to pursue the mysterious disappearance of their father. While attending high school, they meet April O'Neil and Casey Jones- their new group members on an upcoming project. As they gather at Y/N's apartment, the turtles and their friends' enemies find a potential advantage in learning that Y/N isn't human, and that they have some unique skills...
Leonardo and his brothers set out to help Y/N as their friends with April and Casey, but after feeling something new and Karai running around- Leo's unsure of all that he could manage.
--|Modern-day setting: Near the end of Season 2 of TMNT (2012 version), specifically, after the 21st episode, "Vengeance Is Mine". This is the season where it starts off with the mutagen outbreak happening- where mutagen canisters were spilled throughout New York City. Casey gets introduced earlier on in the season, Spike has been mutated to Slash (but the Mighty Mutanimals don't exist), Tigerclaw recently came back from the worm with a hatred for April and Casey, Bebop and Rocksteady haven't mutated, and Karai has just been mutated- and is nowhere to be found.
--|WARNING!: Fighting scenes with the use of weapons are described in the story. Some things in the story may be depicted as 'disgusting'- an example being brains inside of robots stomach (The Krang).
Not all of the events displayed in this story are going to be 100% accurate. Anything that happens after episode 21 of season 2 has either been altered, or changed completely for your enjoyment and the sake of the story.

Dear Diary, Me and April are finally starting to hangout again! You see what happened was: I was hanging out on the rooftop of my apartment building when these men came and tried to kidnap me. I fought as hard as I could but I accidentally fell off the rooftop. However this green dude with a purple bandana saved me! He gently brought me to the ground and checked to see if I had any injuries. While he was checking, I saw April on the rooftop with some other green dudes and she was fighting off those weird men! Eventually they disappeared and the whole group came down to me and the purple guy. She apologized to me for not keeping in contact for the entire year. She said she's been training to be a fighter with the help of her friends, which are apparently mutant turtles. They all introduced each other, red is raph, blue is leo, orange is Mikey, and purple is 𝒟ℴ𝓃𝓃𝒶𝓉ℯ𝓁𝓁ℴ I don't know what it is about that guy but.... I think I might have a crush on him, or at the very least it's limerance. I mean the guy saved me so it's probably just infatuation because of that. Anyway, April said that tomorrow she's gonna take me to the turtles lair so we'll see how that goes! Maybe I can even become friends with them! Especially 𝒟ℴ𝓃𝓃𝒶𝓉ℯ𝓁𝓁ℴ..... TW: This is gonna be a pretty angsty story and it will have sad themes such as parental loss, grief, unrequited love (which gets requited...eventually), and obsession (but not too much) I'll post warnings at the beginnings of chapters for some of these themes but I hope you enjoy! Edit: I'm marking the story as mature for the time being just because of the themes I have written above. There will be no smut in this story or super graphic violence

I exited through the side entrance of the building and stood by the manhole cover, pulling it up and out of the way. I climbed down the ladder and slid the cover back over me, shrouding myself in pitch darkness. When I got to the ground, water splashed by my feet and I turned my phone flashlight on. Ice covered most of the walls and floor, except for the small puddle I stepped in. I looked around and started walking in the right direction. It was colder in the sewers this time of year and I almost slipped on ice a few times. When I saw familiar pipes and came to what looked like a concrete wall, a small smile formed on my lips. I stood in front of it for a moment, staring at it. "Come on, Angel." I muttered to myself. It's only been two years. I doubt much has changed. I took a deep breath in and reached up to pull the pipe above the closed door. I'm a lot taller now, so I didn't have to get on my tip toes like back then. The door parted open and I walked in slowly, hearing a thud behind me when it shut closed. It was quiet in the lair as I walked around, taking it all in. Most of it looked the same, while some parts looked new. I took my beanie, scarf, and jacket off, setting them on the couch nearby. "Hello?" - **** quick content and trigger warning possibility. Regarding the fanfics that revolve around the tmnt fandom and series versions, I personally have read many that involve hard language (cursing) and depictions of violent scenes bc it's whats in the storylines of all versions of tmnt across the board and through the decades. As stated in the information for the previous book for this mini series, if anything is offensive in any such way or should be corrected, feel free to reach out and comment or PM me regarding it and I'll gladly hear you out in order to learn from the mistake I made for future reference. THIS IS THE SEQUAL TO SHREDDER'S ASSOCIATE, so if you haven't read that you will be confused. Go check out Shredder's Associate. After Tang Shen calls Mikey and Ellie, his life completely rips apart. He screams at Ellie, furious at her for not telling him about Shredder. And so she leaves the Lair, completely disappearing. After that, everyone else, especially Donnie and Casey, goes crazy with trying to find April. Mikey starts turning back into the broken turtle he was after Shredder. One day, Casey and Donnie get into a heated argument, which drives Mikey out of the Lair. When he's out there, he discovers someone named Jamie. Jamie looks almost exactly like April, which confuses everyone, and also scares them. Who was Jamie? Why did she look like April? And could she be trusted? There's also the fact that Tang Shen seems to be way ahead of the turtles no matter what they tried. Saving April from her grasp seemed almost impossible. School's a total nightmare, and things at home with mom are a hot mess ever since dad passed away. Just when you're about to throw in the towel, you wake up in a hospital room, and to your shock, your dad's right there with you, but nothing makes sense with the memories you keep. Before you can even process this bizarre reunion, you and your dad are victims of an attempted kidnapping, you being rescued by 4 mutant turtle brothers, who offer to help you find your father. As you get to know them better, you find yourself drawn into their world while trying to understand what's going on with your memories. Little do you know, there's more to your connection with these heroes than meets the eye. Eventual MC x Donatello relationship. A remake of Donatello and April's original relationship dynamic, but slow burned and unrushed, so they can build a true friendship before discovering that either of them have feelings for the other. --------------- I always felt like Donnie crushin' on April in the show was a bit off, especially 'cause she never felt the same way and it felt kind of forced. Chatted with my sis 'bout this ongoing plot in the series, and it hit me - the show could've been way cooler if April and Donatello had a tighter connection, giving 'em both the character development they deserved.
