15-year-old Reese just wants things to continue as they've been. She wants to write in a journal and spend time with her brother Neal and Uncle Erik. But when her Aunt Mary gets laid off, she moves in and forces her to share her room with her reclusive older sister, Amber. Their relationship has been strained since their parents' death. Reese isn't convinced this new situation will change things between them. Then Amber comes out as gay. Reese finds herself curious about LGBT culture, but even more so about the sister who emotionally abandoned her and Neal. Did she regret what she did? Did she have a reason for it? This may be the only chance she has to find out. Maybe change isn't bad after all- and maybe, just maybe, it could lead to healing. Contains swearing, homophobia, and depictions of anxiety and depression. May contain references to sex (NOTHING explicit).
