A Zurena FanFic. One-shot, but really, really long. 2nd person/Zulema's POV (Congratulations, you get to be Zulema)! Set in Season 5. Takes place after New Year's but prior to Maca telling Zulema that she quits. I wrote this to make El Oasis make sense in my own head, because while the Zurena interactions were on point, the story-line was total crap. I'd prefer not to give too much away here, but I understand that people like to know what they are getting themselves into, especially given the length of this work. So I will say this... This is written as a sort of stream-of-consciousness piece that takes a dive into Zulema's psyche as she navigates a meaningful day and reflects on herself and her relationship with Maca. It's written from Zulema's perspective, and truthfully second-person usually isn't my favorite, but it just felt right for this story. So for those of you who find that approach awkward, I hope you will still give it a chance. This is the first fic I have ever written, so feedback is truly appreciated. And since I couldn't get the d@mned Dedication option to work, I will add that here as well- This fic is dedicated to my little fried shrimp who inspired me to write it, encouraged me to publish it, helped me with the Spanish bits, acted as the world's greatest sounding board, and without whom it would not have ever happened. He saw a commercial about the hotel where well-redeemed sinners he going to the hotel and he saw a girl named Charlie MorningStar, and the other girl was named Vaggie. He told him about what happened and how he got here and they feel sorry for him and return day well let him stay in the hotel and tell they figure out what to do, but what he didn't know that Charlie and Vaggie and the other girls, are responsible of the portal in his house and now they're have him and they are so obsessed with him that they were never let him leave. Well, he escaped. Let's find out. You like to not think about how it ruined your favorite pair of shoes. He messed up again, and kicked the machine. You yelled out to him "That thing costs money you know." then he looked at you. His face almost looked angelic. But he had been the jerk of your highschool, so he couldn't be that angelic. He looked away and picked at his pockets. He pulled out nothing. He started walking up to you and started asking for a dime. "Come on, I feed you guys this money all the damn time. Plus you will just get it back." "Then maybe don't waste all your money on pinball. We've gained around $200 with you coming here almost everyday. Thanks for that." and then you smiled while picking up your book. He looked at you in anger, then you looked back up at him. Arion Griffin lives in a society where people with light magic are 'good' and people with dark magic are 'bad'. He comes from a long line of dark magic. Unfortunately, this causes many problems for his social life since his family's reputation precedes him and makes it so no one will talk with him. He is worried it will make his greatest fear come true. He is terrified he is on the path to becoming evil like his parents. Then, one day at school he gets an invitation from Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. Sure he's heard of it, but only in rumors. The school is just for magical creatures to learn more about themselves and their history. It was made over three hundred years ago and still run by a fairy named Cassiopea and her daughter Cassia. Arion is excited to go because his parents refuse to teach him anything about other magical creatures other than dark magic. They believe it is irrelevant for him to know because they think he will take over the world one day. And why should a leader know anything about his subjects? Arion convinces his parents that if he goes to the school he can do recon on the other magical people so he can learn about them and make it easier for him to take over. With no friends, no siblings, and a very negative outlook on life, he heads to Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted.
