Maria Toru Masaharu. A half Japanese girl who happen to dislike basketball, moves to Japan and studies at Seirin. 

Upon being there, her cousin, Ayako Masaharu knows the reason why she dislikes the sport and wants nothing but to make Maria play again. So she enlists the help of a certain phantom sixth man and a red headed tiger to help her and make her cousin play the sport that she once loved.
