A two time Screenplay Competition Finalist in the Existing Series Spec Episode Category, "PERSON OF INTEREST: TOXOPHILITE", features FINCH, REECE, SHAW, and ROOT as they are confronted by a mysterious nemesis who is targeting members of the DECIMA CORPORATION, as well as them.
A group of Mob members have been found massacred, many by arrow, and FUSCO sand REECE are brought in to investigate. The lone survivor, a man named NEIL RILEY, the the brother of the gang's now deceased leader, has been rushed to the hospital. However, when the archer's seemingly unrelated next targets are that of a pair of DECIMA operatives, the group begrudgingly decides to help them.
Shaw takes it upon herself to look one of the operatives; a man named JASON HAZARD, while ROOT continues to tail Riley, but she chooses not to inform Finch of his possible "Relevance" - a fact that has also brought the interest of Decima's director, JOHN GREER, as well. To wit, in a Machine flashback we see COLLIER'S death on the rooftop - and the archer is revealed as viewing the event from afar.
Greer visits Hazard in the hospital and questions his fidelity to Decima. Root, of course, views Greer's presence as an open invitation for assassination, but with Decima agents present, the group opts to abandon the scene. In the resulting chaos Shaw is trapped in the building as the archer arrives and attempts to slay Greer. However, in protecting Hazard, Shaw sidetracks the archer, and allows Greer the opportunity for a safe exit. As a result, Shaw and the archer face off, revealing that the archer is not Riley at all, but a former Control co-operative of Shaw's who mistakenly believes that Shaw now works for Decima.
As the archer's larger plan unfolds the situation comes to a head, and the remnants of the gang and Greer's men are pitted against one another, with Finch, Reece, Shaw, and Root caught in between.
I can't keep the smile off my face as I take my seat on the plane. I slide my bag under the seat and lean back. I close my eyes and let a blissful smile grace my face.
He said I wouldn't be able to run. As if.
I'm vaguely aware of someone taking the seat next to mine, but I pay no attention to said person.
"So where we headed?"
I choke on my own spit as my eyes fly open and whirl around to face the owner of the familiar voice.
His eyes are hidden behind those damn sunglasses and a rather smug smile graces his face.
I continue choking and he does nothing other than flip through a magazine. That smug smile never leaving his face.
"You still haven't answered the question."
"To hell." I finally manage to choke out.
"Awesome," He flips a page in the magazine, "It's about time I returned home. You know, bodies to burn, lost souls to torture, I've missed it. It'll be fun."
