My dear Elise, You're not old enough to understand. In fact you haven't even been born yet, I predict by the time you read this note you will be older and will understand. I am ill and by the time give birth I will be dead, I will not be able to see your beautiful face, nor your beautiful hands. Everything you need will be in this envelope a note from me, cash, and where your uncle Peter lives. My baby girl this is just the beginning and it will be hard. I will not be there to teach you how harsh the world is. Whenever you find your uncle Peter he has down syndrome and won't be able to help you that much. Your grandmother is blind, and is 98 years old she's about to die, she has lung cancer. Your birthday is June 26, 1930. That is also my death date. I wish I could be there to see you grow but that is impossible. Have a wonderful life and I love you. Your mother, Veronica

I am dying - it was inevitable. The poison given to me over the course of several months have spread throughout my veins and seep through my bones. I was alone. There was not one single person to hold me, to comfort me, or to cry for me... I am all alone... NOTE from the writer: I'm an amateur writer so please overlook plot holes, grammar issues, or anything else a story is supposed to have. This is my original story so... as the saying goes "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all".
