Gilbert Markham is fascinated by Helen Graham, the beautiful and enigmatic woman who has recently moved into Wildfell Hall. He is swift to befriend her and steadfastly refutes the local gossip calling her character and behaviour into question, yet he soon has cause to regret his infatuation, and grave doubts and misgivings begin to arise in his mind. It is only when Helen presents Gilbert with her diary and instructs him to read it that the shocking truth about her past life becomes clear.

Anne Brontë was the daughter of Maria (born Branwell) and Patrick Brontë, a poor Irish clergyman in the Church of England. Anne lived most of her life with her family at the parish of Haworth on the Yorkshire moors. Otherwise she attended a boarding school in Mirfield between 1836 and 1837, and between 1839 and 1845 lived elsewhere working as a governess. In 1846 she published a book of poems with her sisters and later two novels, initially under the pen name Acton Bell. Her first novel, Agnes Grey, was published in 1847 with Wuthering Heights. Her second novel, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, was published in 1848. The Tenant of Wildfell Hall is thought to be one of the first feminist novels.

Anne died at 29, probably of pulmonary tuberculosis. After Anne's death her sister Charlotte edited Agnes Grey to fix issues with its first edition, but prevented republication of The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. This is one reason why Anne is not as well known as her sisters. Nonetheless both of Anne's novels are considered classics of English literature.

Elyse Jane Elizabeth Colston was raised in her small but cozy house in Lexington, Kentucky with her adoptive No-Maj parents. Elyse is the type of child to always carry a book with her, and more of a keep to herself type of girl. Needless to say, when she got her acceptance letter to Ilvermorny, her parents were shocked but sportive. They were a bit worried at first, but eventually let her go. She was selected into Thunderbird (equivalent to Slytherin) and fit in quite well even though she was a "muggle-born," but Elyse always had that one thought in the back of her head that she did not belong in Thunderbird or really at Ilvermorny at all. Elyse knew she was different since she started at her private school before she went to Ilvermorny. She had a very slight British accent, and the only one in her class who was adopted when she was a baby. She was teased a lot when she first went to Ilvermorny for being a "Muggle Born" sorted into Thunderbird because that is supposedly only for the "Purebloods," but she was accepted but she still felt as though she only had her best friend Lili-Anna, and her boyfriend Tom for support. When Elyse gets asked by Dumbledore to go to Hogwarts for a year for her 5th year, she is really shocked when her adoptive No-Maj parents weirdly takes them no time at all to say that she can go. She ends staying with a family who is still grieving. Even though she enjoys Hogwarts, everyone seams as though they are keeping secrets from Elyse. Join Elyse as she stays at Hogwarts and finds why Dumbledore asked her to come to Hogwarts, learns why she was given up as a baby, makes friends, meets a certain someone, and finds out who she really is.

She lead a rather tragic life. The black sheep of her family due to her lack of affinity for fire. Her affinity was quite the opposite. Water in fact. Already in a time when women did not really have much political power or rights, she was outcasted by her family despite being of nobility. Still allowed to live in the distant west wing of the massive Grand Duke's manor, she has never eaten a single meal with her family nor extended family, and has spent her loneliness in her books and sword lessons. Although only taught by the head butler and one of the low ranked knights of the family, she was quite bright and if her family would have given her a chance she would have done great things. If only she didn't die at such a young age. Married off to some "hero" of sort that had slayed the Dragon of the North who was terrorizing the land and threatened the kingdom, this hero also had an affinity for fire and held her in disdain like the rest of her family. Suddenly a girl of another world was transported to their world, picked up by this hero and put into his secure care. The pair soon fell for each other despite the hero's marriage, and many believed Laraine got jealous of this girl of mystery, and tried to kill her. This was definitely not true. But because the girl was favored by the temple and kingdom Laraine was quickly arrested and put on trial. You can probably tell what happened to Laraine. But something strange happened the day of her execution. As soon as her decapitated head hit the ground the sky turned blood red and it began to rain fire. No one survived that day. But for some reason time went back, and Laraine was back to being a child, but with no memory of her future. There were select few in her life, however, that remembered her tragedy and now perhaps will take action to prevent it. NOTE: I'M AWARE THERE ARE A LOT OF INCONSISTENCIES. IT WILL BE EDITED SOME DAY BUT RIGHT NOW I'M JUST TRYING TO FINISH IT.
