Hi guys! I'm new on Wattpad right now. This is the very first short story I wrote (apart from the ones when I was, like, five) and I'd appreciate it if y'all just read it and left a few suggestions. I admit it's not that good, maybe even a cliche, but I just want your opinions. Tell me how I can improve my writing styles, etc. I really, really, really wanna be a novelist, so you can you help me make my dream come true?
Lauren wants to give her best friend her dream gift for her birthday, but with her, no one can be sure she will until she does. Will she be true to her word, or will she end up making another impulsive decision?

So, I have a best friend who is basically my sister. She now has Wattpad and has DEMANDED that I put my Creative Writing Prompts/Shorts/To Be Continued stories on here. She thinks that there needs to be full out books growing from these in the future. (We shall see, sis! We shall see) These do not align with my fanfiction fandoms that I write about, but my own creative mind in twisted originality. ⚠️PLEASE READ⚠️ PSA: I was in 8th grade when I wrote this and I believe it is very poorly done. Go ahead and read. I don't have the patience to rewrite. I have heard from several comments that it is funny so that is something to look forward to. MAJOR TRIGGER WARNINGS: I know there are several mentions etc of self harm. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing but I'm totally winging it. (note: after writing the intro I've decided to make this story Inspired by a Dodie Clark song called she. I highly recommend listening to it as it will be the main theme of the story!! also it's a beautiful song with an amazing story!!) I wrote this story before I knew what I was even doing! This was written in 2011 and is unedited and sloppy. It's the first story I ever wrote. Maybe one day I'll be able to do an edit now that I know what I'm doing more. First step, moving out of my parent's house. Second step, finding a roommate. Kendra finally thought she was free. She's 21 and getting a place away from her parents. She never thought it was going to be this hard but when you end up with a sex-crazed roommate that doesn't know the meaning of quiet or privacy... things can get a little complicated.
