Dead by dawn

This takes place in the late 80s early 90s and takes place after Yoakes (Japanese for dawn) adoptive father dies after being brutally stabbed in the chest 6 times before bleeding out and dying. Yoake sets off on a journey to find a new life away from Louisiana so she doesn't have memory of anything that has happened when she was younger. A 20 year old Yoake meets a handsome young man and instead of finding a steady job she then goes and dates him. One day she caught him cheating and was kicked out of her house to deal with a newborn son and daughter alone.
