Jugnoo (n.) (Urdu): fireflies.

Krishna Nat, widely known for his prowess in Urdu and his excellence in poetry, was the most prized exploit for the King of Kuruva in his recent annexation of a neighbouring kingdom. His decision of making Krishna the chief Court Poet was something that everyone anticipated, everyone welcomed. Except for Mureed. His anticipation was not coupled with any sense of joyous welcome. But with dread, a sense of loss, a sense of hatred. It was not easy leaving the position of the chief Court Poet when his family had a legacy of holding the position. Mureed knew of Krishna's wit and wisdom, but there were several things hidden from him. In his ambition of gaining back the proverbial throne of arts, will he be able to escape the charm that this notorious weaver of words poses?

Every single breath of mine belongs to you, my queen," the man said, tears rolling down his eyes. "I don't care about your love or your care! The only thing I care about is revenge-and today, I'm going to complete it," the woman hissed, tracing the gun along his face. But something twisted inside her. For the first time, the Mafia Queen felt uneasy, while the Mafia Lord knelt before her, refusing to leave the love of his life. "Please don't do this. I beg you," his voice cracked. All his confidence, boldness, and 'I-don't-give-a-damn' attitude had shattered. Her heart hitched, her body froze-she couldn't pull the trigger on the man in front of her. "Even he begged for his life. Did you stop then?" she screamed, gripping his face between her fingers. "At least listen to me-" he began, but she cut him off by pressing her lips against his. This was no longer just revenge. It was obsession, desire, and love strong enough to make a King-no, a Lord-beg for it. ✨ A Desi Dark Royal Romance 🌸 Full of rivalry, hidden scars, stolen glances, and forbidden touches.
