Anaa - a tale of ego and love
Izza Khan, a 25-year-old outspoken Pakistani woman has landed the job of her dreams. She is going to be a teacher at a local charity-run school for underprivileged teens. Growing up in a supportive family, Izza has always been involved in various charities within her community. All was going well for her until the day she was caught in a very compromising position with her boss, Mr Altamash Mukhtar. A businessman who is equally respected and feared in the Shamsher Nagar community. What made things worse was the fact that Altamash was already betrothed to successful model and local sensation, Nashwa Ghazanfar who now fully believes that Izza has purposefully been trying to make passes at her wealthy boyfriend. The hysteria over false stories regarding Izza and Altamash on social media led to her family receiving a severe backlash from their conservative community, leading her family to decide that there was only one solution, Altamash must marry her and save her reputation.
For Altamash, getting married to Izza seemed like a bit of an overkill, he's suggested that he could relocate Izza and her family and fund her life but Izza's middle-class parents cared most about her reputation. If only, his girlfriend had not made things worse by posting on social media, now Izza's character was being dragged through the mud and he felt somewhat responsible. Izza was not his equal, not in class and most definitely not in Ancestral lineage. Reluctantly, he agrees to marry her, if only to take responsibility for the unfortunate actions of his girlfriend. But then Izza surprises everyone by rejecting him.
"I will not marry Mr. Altamash even if he was the last man on earth. My Ana will not allow it."
A lower middle-class girl rejected HIM and now Izza Khan had his attention, all of it.
