In a time when murder was becoming commonplace, the ministry had encouraged its aurors to do whatever is necessary to stop dark wizards, even if it means to use forbidden curses or leave them for dead. But now, when one-such dark wizard escapes from Azkaban, the ministry shows its hypocritic hand as it scrambles to place its own shady project under the protection of Hogwarts. The ministry's "plan" understood their choice -- she knew that Dumbledore intended for her to eventually attend his school anyway -- but she didn't have to appreciate the fact that she was to be placed under the paranoid protection of the ex-wizard-cop-and-current-madman, Alastor Moody. And when the prestigious Malfoy family begins to snoop into her mysterious past, Aurora begins to question the ministry's competence all-together. But Dumbledore cashed all his favors in order to provide her with a second chance, and she will keep it alive for as long as her cursed body allows.
