The Aeloria Chronicles
Celeste Ray stepped into the Academy for Witches and Warlocks as a late bloomer completely oblivious to the magic system. All she wanted to do was survive and uncover the secrets that kept her restless- but what she finds is much deeper and darker than she anticipated. Secrets loom in the sinister garden, and everywhere she goes there are clues to her past- a past that she's always been oblivious too. Celeste never signed up for this, but ancient prophecies follow her. Rivalries she never asked for come in the form of Asher Pierce, an infuriatingly powerful Warlock who might be more entangled in her destiny than she might realize. Now she's navigating a complex world full of magic, with friends that feel like family and a family that feel like strangers. Aeloria has it's own way of choosing who you become- Celeste's journey has only begun. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Copyright © 2025 V.R. Against the System
[!] MUST READ [!] --- In a land where everyone is born with magic, one boy has none. Kaelen Verenth, fourteen. He keeps his head down and trusts the path laid out for him, until the day he steps beyond his door and finds a realm of blades, scholars, and whispering circles who all serve a pattern they can't name. Roads feel rehearsed. Encounters click into place. The world moves as if someone is turning a page he hasn't seen. There is a mind behind the curtain. Everywhere and nowhere. It bends truth in small ways at first, a shadow that moves after its owner, then in ways no one can ignore. He isn't meant to notice. He isn't meant to ask. Yet he does. When the Loom trembles and the rules begin to slip, the only child without a spark may be the only one who can pull the right thread. "Reality isn't real, cults worship glitches, people vanish either willingly or unwillingly. The System is not your ally." --- What to Expect: ▰ Skill, tech, magic. ▰ Morally complex protagonists. ▰ Slowburn Worldbuilding following character growth. ▰ Typical fantasy elements. --- Updates weekly. --- [!] Original work, do not distribute. [!] [!] Not AI Generated. [!] [!] Novice writer. [!] [!] Posted on AO3, Royal Road, too. [!] [!] Image taken from Pinterest, edited with Canva to add the title. Joan
"I don't like to think of myself as this kickass, badass Lara Croft, no. But I try not to be your typical every day Jane Doe. So I where does that leave me? In the middle, I guess. So there. I'm just your atypical- yet completely ordinary- girl with a bloody crown. Yeah, that has a nice ring to it." At 14 years of age, Joan Domshov thinks she has it all figured out- well, mostly that is. Though her ducks may not always be in a line, she's pretty confident that if she's made it 14 years then she can make it 14 more without the world caving in on her. Oh how one can dream. Exposed to a new world with which she shares a closer tie than she knew, Joan realizes there's more beyond anything she's used to. But change is good. Unless it comes in the form of an eerily charming yet minatory king from the other side of Edalirwen. When her brother is taken by the king who seems to have a personal vendetta against her family's namesake, Joan will travel to the other side of a world that is rumored to be folklore. Regardless, Joan is certain she can prevail. But as her confidence is shaken and her perception about who she truly is starts to diminish, she'll be left questioning the person she once thought she was. Smartmouthed, snarky, and clueless to her obstacles, Joan will figure out whether she is a girl with a tainted past or something else entirely.Complete![The Spellcaster | Vol. 2[✔]](https://img.wattpad.com/cover/293920234-256-k436632.jpg)

The Last Phoenix (book 1)
Ren is a quiet teen in a small New Zealand town. He just wants to finish school, avoid the local bullies and maybe tell his best friend how he feels. But one blistering summer day he bursts into flames and emerges as the Sun God's champion: a radiant, female warrior. For generations, the Phoenix's power has passed through the women of his family, so his grandmother is as shocked as he is when it chooses a boy. As Ren struggles to control fire, wings and teleportation, strange phenomena - frozen lakes in summer, earthquakes that seem to think - signal that the world is unraveling. Ancient enemies known as the Shadows of the Eclipse feed on chaos and are awakening. Torn between hiding in his hoodie and facing a destiny he never wanted, Ren must decide who he is, what he will fight for and whether to trust the boy who's always been by his side. This isn't a fairytale. It's messy, queer, and sometimes heartbreaking. But if you're into mythic fantasy with real feelings, and a protagonist who literally sets himself on fire to save the world, jump in. The world's last Phoenix is a boy, and he's just getting started.Complete
