Jack a Magicks Hunter, thought he had life all figured out, he lived for the hunt, his only purpose in life was to find and capture Magicks, with each Magick caught he avenged his parents' deaths. He was happy and everything was going perfectly, until he met Rainie. She was unlike anyone he had ever met before, her voice as soft as the pitter-patter of rain, and her kindness knew no bounds. What was it about Rainie, that made him question the only constant he knew?
Rainie, a Magick, cursed with the power to summon rain and control water, she lives in constant fear of the day the hunters discover her secret. Found as just an infant and raised by a Non-Magick, Rainie's true origins are a mystery, but to her, the past is the past. Her only goal in life is to care for her Gran that raised her, the little girl she had found that was orphaned, and to survive in a world that hates her very existence. Her life changes the day she meets Jack, but will he see her for who she is, or for what the world says she is?
Magicks are the monsters of the world, they thrive only through destroying the peace and happiness of those born without powers.... Or are they? Who decides what a monster is? Why hate someone for how they are born? Besides their powers, what makes a Magick different from a Non-Magick? Will the meeting of Jack and Rainie, change the world they know for the better? Or are they doomed to forever live in a world of fear and hate, where those born different are destined to die?
"I admit that I don't deserve you, but you know how greedy I am for you, I am selfish for you. Cause I never wanted to give up on you. I almost lost myself in you."
"I love you! I love you more than anything! But.. if loving you is so wrong and, if you don't feel good.. then I'll stop being selfish."
"Sorry for demanding you to stay longer. You knew it was wrong, and I made it more difficult. I loved you, but.. I was being selfish..."
The rain had started to leave. He hugged her more tightly feeling nervous about what he was about to say next.
"If we divorce now.. will I stop being a burden?"
She didn't say anything but took off her ring and gave it on his hand. He nodded and pulled out the documents but she didn't let it go.
"Don't even bother hesitating. I promise, your life will get easier."
She nodded. He took them and signed.
"You are finally free...!!"
