Hiccup has always had dreams and memories of a child hood friend who suddenly disappeared but his father always told him that the child he remembers and his clan were all killed by dragons and so hiccup always accepted that as the answer.
but after getting hold of an artifact called the dragons eye hiccup realises it's not safe to keep the artifact on berk and so he heads out to go and find a place to camp out this is where he finds out his father's story is not true as he meets his old childhood friend who rides an interesting dragon
