Stuck in Ketterdam {K. BREKKER}

Mia Thornhill, a normal girl from present-day London, goes to sleep one night and in the morning, wakes up in the fictional world of Ketterdam, and home to the infamous Dregs, and their notoriously ruthless leader Kaz Brekker. As she navigates the world she had read about for years, she also uses skills she had learned to survive as well as meeting people she had only dreamed of meeting. But, when she comes face to face with Jesper Fahey, the famous sharpshooter, she learns that her abilities are needed for the gang's next heist. When she meets the infamous Kaz Brekker, however, she learns that everything she read, every word, could never do his ruthlessness justice. When he decides to give her a chance, Mia decided she'll take him up on his offer. As she adjusts to her new life in Ketterdam, she also struggles to find her place within the Crows, and she also doesn't know why she's here, in the world of her favorite books. As Mia gets to know the Crows, she is also intrigued by a certain Mr. Brekker. She wants to understand Kaz, and break down his walls, but it is extremely difficult. But, as Mia grows impatient and seemingly gives up, Kaz has never wanted her closer. She confuses him, as Kaz is usually able to read anyone as well as their desires, but with Mia, he can't. As Mia seems to give up on him and drift towards the other Crows, he gets jealous, as well as heartbroken. Does she think he is a monster, like everyone around him? That he'll always be Dirtyhands, doomed to lose everyone and everything he loves? But, when obstacles occur, and Mia lands in the crosshairs of the Dreg's gang war, will Kaz finally bring his feelings to light, or is Mia better off without him?
