Naruto was laying on the lounge, bored out of his mind, waiting for Kakashi and Iruka to arrive back home. His head perked up as he heard a knock coming from the front door.

He grew nervous remembering what Kakashi told him before they left 'I'm not expecting guest so if any one knocks on the door don't answer it'.

The blonde stood up off the couch and slowly creeped over to the window. He pulled the curtain to the side and peeked out. No one, no one was there. Naruto sighed but before he pulled away he noticed something laying on the ground. Letting his curiosity get the better of him, he stepped over to the front door, unlocked it, kneeled down and picked up the object. It was a rose, a red rose.

He looked around as the rose sat in his small hands only to find nothing, there wasn't a single person around. He looked back down at the rose as he felt a wet substance. Naruto pulled his hand away and his eyes widened as he saw a red smudge on his hand. Blood. The blonde run back inside completely unaware of the black figure standing behind a tree, watching from afar.
