The whole school seems to wonder why Polaris joined the school late, going straight into her third year, but Polaris just passes it off as Dumbledore not being able to find her. Follow Polaris through her years at Hogwarts, and the eventual war as she balances trying to please her parents and make her way through the magical world, uncovering the mysteries of her life and curious circumstances. The main focus of the book is not her love life, but her growth throughout the series, and the war in the later books.
