When 4 year old Ariella starts speaking to shadows and predicting the future , she was sent to an asylum . All her stay in the asylum was alone as no shadows visited and was forced to believe that it was her mind playing tricks on her. Now at 16 she escapes with the hope of starting a new life with no creepy shadows till she meets Eli, an18 year old who barely speaks to anyone she is drawn to him as he is to her .
