It is the early to mid 2030s The Earth and Digital World are in relative peace. The Digidestined have settled down and setup an organization to help keep the peace between the Earth and Digital World. Of course peace cannot last forever and Digimon have started appearing on earth! It's now up to the children of the Digidestined to follow in their parents footsteps and defend both worlds. They won't be alone however as new human children will join them to help protect both worlds from this new threat. They are the DHU, the Digimon Handlers Unit.
