We all have a childhood best friend. Some stay together, some drift apart. Andrew was my childhood best friend. We lived 2 minuets away from each other for 12 years. From age 3 to age 15 we were always together. If Andrew wasn't with me he was at hockey. It was his whole life. When I turned 15 I had to move.My dad got a job in another city that he couldn't turn down. When I told Andrew he didn't talk to me for 2 days. I swear that's the longest we ever went without talking for that whole 12 years. After I moved we didn't talk as much. Maybe for holidays or birthdays we would text, but that was it. Over time we both grew up, doing our own thing in different cities. Until we found each other again. In 2017 Andrew got drafted to the LA Kings NHL team. I was so excited for him. Since then he was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes, and somehow I found myself in Raleigh, North Carolina.
