πππππ πππππππ ββ Lysa Arryn, the lady with the thick brown hair, bright blue eyes and beautiful dresses, had grown up between the mighty Red Keep and her father's lands, Bled Vally. The Arryn on her mother's side had spent most of her life among the nobles, growing up alongside her cousin and the princes and receiving the same education as them. Owner of a stunning beauty, Lysa was considered by many lords and even by some ladies as the delight of her generation.
Aemma and Lysa, it was almost impossible to speak of one of them without remembering the other. The cousins ββhad formed, during the years they lived together, a strong connection. In their best and worst moments they were together, Lysa had Aemma to be her light, and in her moments of grief, Aemma had Lysa to support her when she lacked comfort. Their friendship and sisterhood was well regarded by the court around them.
The birthing bed was always a battlefield for any woman, but it used to be even more brutal for the Targaryen women. It was as if they were actually bringing a dragon into the world. As the birth approached, apprehension took over all the women, the doubt of knowing if they would come out of that birthing bed alive, or if it would be the last moment of their lives. And that was also the fear Aemma had every time she became pregnant and managed to hold a baby in her womb.
A tragedy could bring people together, even if one side had to swallow its pride in order to support each other. Lady Arryn was that support for King Viserys and Princess Rhaenyra after the loss of their sweet queen and the mourning that covered all the seven kingdoms. Lysa was their rock when they needed her most, just as she once was for Aemma.
