After all Zhongli didn't care about Childe, he was just an other Chess pice in his stupid mind tricking game. [Zhongchili] Perfect Weapon, Silent Heart by xTeaAndSconesx

The Pyro Gnosis has been claimed. With all seven Gnoses in the Tsaritsa's possession, the final fight to free Teyvat from Celestia's reign and the Abyss' terror draws close. Summoned to Snezhnaya to fulfil their roles in the upcoming battle, Childe and Zhongli find themselves travelling aboard the same ship when a storm hits, stranding them in Childe's hometown of Morepesok. Forced into close proximity with both his father and Zhongli, Childe is forced to confront the unresolved tensions in each relationship whilst readying himself for the battle he's spent a lifetime preparing for. Meanwhile, Zhongli must fight to learn how to love the man who seems determined to subdue the feelings lingering between them. Then, just when Zhongli thinks their situation can't become any more complicated, the unveiling of a decade-held secret threatens to steal away the perfect future he's been longing for.

It's been a few weeks since Childe has 'completed' his mission, and yet, he can't convince himself to leave just yet, especially since the Tsaritsa hasn't called him back to Snezhnaya, so he remains in Liyue. 'We are bound to each other by a contract.' Though Teyvat has yet to be but Mondstadht and Liyue, the world is vast. However, what happens to the rest of the world doesn't concern Childe. In his mind, he only cares for battles, wars, and blood. Perhaps the motivation is to protect his family, or, perhaps, the motive is revenge on the creature that lays in the abyss, waiting to strike at any moment. Or perhaps, he wishes to accomplish both and understand the contract set by him and Zhongli years ago despite not remembering the details. Meeting in the rain, the two placed an agreement upon themselves without an idea of how much destruction would take place. 'If either of us broke the rules set in the contract, we shall suffer the Wrath of the Rock.'

Zhongli was born with an unusual condition where his body temperature is dangerously low. He is unable to feel warmth even when bundled in blankets or drinking hot tea. That is, until one day...when he stumbles into a strange man claiming to be in love with him.

Childe is returning to Liyue and Zhongli has something important to ask him. However, when a rather cheerful, but very much dead Childe shows up in Zhongli's living room, plans have to be placed aside. When the pair turn to Hu Tao for advice, she suggests that in order for Childe to pass onto the next realm, he must first let go of all unfinished business tying him to the mortal realm. Of course, this is easier said than done when a stubborn Harbinger insists he is perfectly at peace with the life he has led. And so Zhongli and Childe find themselves on a journey across Childe's homeland to complete the Harbinger's Bucket List, and discover his final regret together.

Following a malfunction during one of Dottore's experiments, Childe is lost to the Abyss for a week. Summoned to Snezhnaya to assist, Zhongli meets a darker and more tormented Childe than the one who left Liyue only weeks prior, and thus begins his journey to help return Childe to his prior self. Unless, of course, the version of Childe that Zhongli once knew has already been lost to the Abyss' call... Xiao is certain his life is a joke at this point. He's seen a lot of things in his life, but this takes the cake. Zhongli will be the death of him. In other words, Zhongli kidnapped Childe and now the Fatui think he's dead. At least Aether is there to suffer with him. Someone has to keep these idiots in line.

Liyue was... interesting, to say the least. Its harbor, to which Childe was set to on yet another glorious (utterly ridiculous) mission by Her Majesty, the Tsaritsa, was too hot, too crowded for Childe's liking. And yet, there was something about it that made him want to stay. Perhaps it was the way the breeze faintly smelled of the ocean and fish, the way Morepesok did, or maybe it was because Liyue Harbor was simply so alive. Or maybe, just maybe, it was because those amber eyes were far too enticing to leave behind, even if they were the eyes of his enemy.
