Sophia Rose is excited for her first Homecoming dance at Briarwood Valley High School. Her new friend, Melanie Crenshaw, who is the most popular girl at Briarwood Valley, is looking forward to winning the prize for the best costume for the third year in a row. But when Melanie has to make her own costume and sees Sophia's beautiful safari princess costume, she fears that Sophia will win this year. So she cheats by buying a costume at Party City. When Sophia finds out that Melanie cheated, she is in the middle of a dilemma. Can popular girls really be trusted?
