Jem and the Holograms in Pop Music, Aliens, and Waterparks

This was my winning entry for Jemcon 2021, an annual convention that celebrates Jem and the Holograms.

The Holograms, The Misfits, and The Stingers are invited to attend a music festival. They all find themselves stuck in Phoenix when flights all over the country are canceled due to a mysterious event. To relieve boredom, the bands find themselves at Big Surf Waterpark. Songs, confrontations, and shenanigans soon ensue.

The stipulations for the contest were as follows: Jem attending a music festival in your hometown, some kind of global crisis grounds all flights, you had to mention a local landmark, and you had to mention an orange, feathered boa.
