Everyone has no idea where their consciousness goes when they sleep, or even when taking a nap. But that doesn't stop folks from trying to figure it out. Scientists are still seeking the purpose of sleep and how it affects the mind and body. Despite lack of proof, that doesn't stop some from speculating and proposing theories. And while there may be more than a few hypotheses floating around, some more plausible than others, the vast majority of people don't think about these things.

Of course, if someone were to tell a person that their soul consciousness was teleported to an inter-dimensional city above the one they lived whereupon said soul consciousness was assigned job based upon how much karma it had to work off, it's doubtful many in their waking life would find sleep as relaxing. But that is exactly what is happening with George Dagmar, and roughly every living person on the planet. In fact, unbeknownst to George Dagmar, he's about to get a promotion and begin working under the Super Secret Division of the Spy Cop Protection Agency. The only challenge is that he's got to contend with being trained by and working with his ex-girlfriend Alexis Bailey. While she might be one of the most decorated agents in the division, it appears she might have bigger plans for him in the future. But first, they'll have to go undercover and thwart an assassination in the dream world.

To Quinn, When you read this I'll be over at Zen's place for a couple days. Just letting you know that I have shared a part of my journal publicly. I mean in the online world. Be aware that I've only used your first name, but others have been named. Some of our actual conversations were recorded in this journal. I guess sort of like a book even though writing isn't one of my better strengths. Buddy, that keychain you gave me changed many things. I began sharing this in July and I made my last post early on New Year's Day. You'll be happy to know that the plans for the new center are locked in the safe. I look forward to working with you in this new year we find ourselves in, and please forgive me for telling tales out of school. Your friend, Ash So now that the description is out of the way I can break that fourth wall. The idea for the description was recommended to me by a very good friend since I didn't know how to describe this journal which took place in real time. Dark Matter is a chapter of a much larger work titled "Chronicle of Rouge hill' which I've been writing since I was a teenager. I had started in early 2009 and quickly shelved it in 2010 after I saw "Inception", realizing the ideas were too close. It was picked up again in October of 2012 when I realized what it had to be: less focus on the technical aspects and jargon, and the addition of a love interest. Also, the mission of the "Order of ravens" was changed simply to collecting dream tech. All ten parts were written during the period of October 2012 to March 2013. The idea was to begin posting it on blogger.com in July and it would end in real time, on new year's eve. The events of my real life have indeed influenced the writing.
