Except death.
While at work, a bunch of men with masks comes in and shoots Kammie.
Emory holds her as she's bleeding to death, but can't help but notice the killer's eyes. They're green like no other.
The killer just stares at Emory and walks away. It almost looks like he felt the same pain she was feeling.
After that day, Emory hasn't been able to sleep. She's replaying that moment in her head over and over. Green eyes. Look for green eyes.
A knock at her door takes her from her thoughts. She then opens it to meet her new neighbor.
Immediately looking into his eyes, but nothing but brown.
Strangely something felt off about him, but one thing is for sure... She couldn't take her eyes off him.
Will Emory find out who killed her best friend? Will Emory find true happiness again? Will she fall in love?
