Kasia Whitlock's world is shaken to its core when a mysterious, yet seemingly familiar, woman shows up on her university campus. The woman reveals that Kasia's entire life is a lie, crafted to conceal the fact that she had previously been involved in a failed government experiment. When the project wasn't successful because of Kasia and another subject, Adrien, falling in love, the Coup had their memories wiped. However, Adrien began to start remembering Kasia to the displeasure of the Coup. This prompted the Coup to reinvent their previous program, finding a way to permanently erase Kasia from Adrien's memories to ensure their success. With the Coup planning on rising again, Kasia must now decide to chase the past and the life she's now forgotten or to live in the falsehood that is her reality.
