Cedric Cross is a prodigy in medicine when a careless mistake sends his life spiraling downwards. Now, he stands at the foot of his towering ambition, eyeing the life he could have had. Thrown in a world of mystics and misery, Cedric must now endure the threats of his new environment. But that is not all, for out of the five races he could have lived as "The Shadow" chose the most vile of them all-the morais. 

With ivory fangs now sticking out of his upper lip and a newfound thirst for blood, he must live, adapt, and finish the mission he came there for. The strange land's deep-rooted prejudice and century-spanning hate will not hinder Cedric from reclaiming his old life.
