Raskolnikov, a destitute and desperate former student, wanders through the slums of St Petersburg and commits a random murder without remorse or regret. He imagines himself to be a great man, a Napoleon: acting for a higher purpose beyond conventional moral law. But as he embarks on a dangerous game of cat and mouse with a suspicious police investigator, Raskolnikov is pursued by the growing voice of his conscience and finds the noose of his own guilt tightening around his neck. Only Sonya, a downtrodden sex worker, can offer the chance of redemption.

Warning: Only for ages 18+ "You are in my seat," I repeated. "You said that already," the boy beside him voiced with a profound russian accent. The undertone sent a chill to break out on my skin. My hands curled around the books in my arms as I studied him a bit more. The two were similar in the physical, same bone structure and sharp jawline except for the crooked way the second one's nose was angled. As I looked him over he studied me with the eyes of sweet honey, the pools of gold shameless in their perusal. "We are entitled to sit anywhere we like." "You haven't listened the first time," I gritted. I was not in the mood for his bullshit. Not after what I went through this morning. "You are both entitled to a empty seat such as those in the back row." I pointed to the desks Mrs. Murray keeps free of name tags. "This is my section." His lips pursed. "And what about this seat? It is empty. No name, therefore I have claimed it." "I don't do well with partners," I explained. "Not if you like people who bite." His smirk was devilishly sly. "Vy mozhete ukusit' menya v lyuboye vremya, krasivaya devushka." You can bite me any time, pretty girl. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ This is Korina Volkov's first encounter with Maksimillian Nikolaev, a Russian fighter for the Bratva. Winter Soldier: Fade to Red

16 parts Complete Mature

When several of the Avengers venture into the Netherworld to rescue Thor and Lumen's sons, Bucky stays behind and maintains surveillance at Avengers HQ. But his quiet vigil is interrupted by a message. The sender is Yelena Belova- Natasha Romanov's younger sister and fellow graduate of the Red Room. Nikolai Baranov- the only male student of the Red Room- is a fugitive on the run after committing a series of assassinations. Suspicious that Nikolai is under the influence of the same mind-altering compound she and Natasha contended with some years ago, Yelena implores Bucky to help find Nikolai, liberate his mind, and clear his name. But they aren't the only people searching for Nikolai. The Winter Guard- Russia's very own government-sanctioned team- is hunting him as well. But their intentions are very different- they have orders to kill him without hesitation. Further complicating the situation is the chance of sparking an international incident should the involvement of an Avenger be uncovered. Right at home in covert operations, Bucky accepts the offer as just another routine mission. But when he crosses paths with the deadly assassin, his need to free the young man from the prison of his mind becomes personal. Because, if anyone understands the agony of being controlled, it's Bucky.
