Ferra's life has been rosey, or so she thought. When the new pack took over life changed in ways she never thought possible and will continue to change and shock her. -- Looking up through the canopy, Ferra longed for the vast sky. The stars shone through passing mist and spraying branches; brittle arms carrying leaves of amber and sienna, darkening into the blackness of the night. deep breath This wind rustles through the leaves flicking across the path of the stars. Her eyes flutter closed as her long brunette hair dances around her, floating beside the falling leaves. The tricking water keeping her grounded. hold Memories of this forrest in spring and summer push into Ferra's consciousness. Forgotten times of solstice and youth. Blue tits and magpies singing. Gentle laughter echoing through the still air in her memory. Release Now it is autumn. Such joy seems so distant and feelings so temporary. There's a dampness that has sunken into all that is Ferra's life. The chill of rain never fully stops. But tonight, the only fall is in the remnants of daylight's shower- sliding from weak leaves and crushing trodden terrain.All Rights Reserved
