After wars and revolutions set our world back, an industrial golden age returns hundreds of years in the future, holding on to remnants of former technology, but adapting to the new ways of life. Looming over the deserts of a once-bustling world are sky cities, held in the heavens by an array of monstrous turbines and tethered to the earth by dozens of metallic arms. The ground cities that dwell beneath are tarnished by harsh elements and oppressive monotony, where too many are stuck in their unfortunate circumstances. They live harsh lives of farming and production, doing whatever it takes to improve their circumstances.

Weathered by the brutal life on the ground, a mercenary frequents between the hemispheres. All she wants is to rise above her station and escape the harsh conditions that mark her life. She unwillingly stumbles upon a job from a mysterious governing official that thrusts her towards harrowing encounters, startling secrets, and a captivating person that turns her world upside down.
