It is said that only he who is the rightful King of the Solar Court and High Lord of all Fae kind can pull the sword from the stone. But what if the Fae who pulls the sword from the stone is a she? When a lark bearing strange gifts first showed up at her window, Rora was merely annoyed. Little would she expect to find herself forced into a bargain with a Fae five years later, and crowned King another two years after. But the Fae who calls himself Merlin seems to be hiding another agenda... The Faerie Blade is a retelling of the famous Arthurian legend, following the part Fae named Rora Arthian. How will the fate of the Fae inhabited Avalon fare in her hands? Long live the Queen. (Based on the ONC 2022 prompts 46 and 52.)

Guinevere, Arthur's promised bride. Garreth, her best friend and cousin, the son of Merlin (Myrddin), the great wizard. It sounds just like the Arthurian Legend, doesn't it? But... What if everything happened differently? What if the young Princess Guinevere was not so keen on marrying Prince Arthur, whom she met... when he came for a week-long sightseeing tour to her father's kingdom accompanied by dashing Sir Lancelot? What if she was... dressed as a knight, pretending to be a bodyguard hired for the visitors? And... What if it was 'a she', who was destined to pull the sword from the stone and thus unite the kingdoms? This is my version, a humorous retelling of the famous legend, a medieval fantasy- coming of age- romantic comedy. *This story is purposely historically innacurate, set in some parallel, fantastical Britain that is different from what it had really been in the past, even though I'm using real locations, historically confirmed battles, and the Saxons as enemies of my legendary King Arthur.
