Lost in New York

Y/n is 14 years old and lives in New York. Her parents both died in a car accident when she was 4 years old. She has been living with an adoptive family for 10 years.

Her stepparents don't treat y/n well and beat her. Y/n also has two stepsisters. In New York, y/n is often alone and tries to talk to as few people as possible. At school, y/n is bullied. Most of the time she is not at home, but on the streets or in nearby parks. Y/n draws, dances, and plays guitar. On the streets, she mostly plays guitar to earn money.

One day when y/n is walking around New York alone again, she runs into a group of people. She becomes good friends with two women and spends more time at the women's homes than with her family.

Will this have consequences for y/n and how will the two women react when they find out about y/n's past?

It's kinda a marvel story, but that's coming later in this book :)
