Questers are well-known in the land for showing up at the right time and assisting those in need. Lorali and her bonded partner Grimmer--who is himself half dragon, half human--are no different in this aspect than the rest. The power of Lorali's healing magic and ability to read auras however has always brought jealousy and ostracization even before tragedy strikes, making their decision to leave home an easy one.

Sylviestreya, a Jundi Warrior, has been a captive for nearly half her life with little hope of ever escaping. When Lorali and Grim are led to free her, they have no idea how this secretive rescuee will change their lives.

Lorali is captivated by Sylvie at first sight and elated that she chooses to stay with them--and their quirky pets--as they continue their rescuing adventures. Soon after they meet Sayid, a young human who quickly becomes part of their unusual ragtag family. Before long secrets stop going untold and as Sylvie's defensive walls begin to crumble, Lorali catches glimpses of her emotions through her aura. Soon the rich colors of trust and happiness become prevalent...followed closely by love.
