Isla has given up on love. Around her, she's seen how screwed up relationships and love are nowadays. She's an old soul who is not ready to give her heart out to any new guy after having wasted four years of her life in a toxic relationship. She's seen what love can do to a person and she never wants to be that weak again. No guy gets a chance with her. That's why she keeps a distance with every male at her college except for her best friend Cody.
Things change when Cody joins the basketball team last minute and Isla gets into the presence of the captain of the team, Nathan Scott, notorious badboy. Even with all the popularity, in truth, he's lonely and in need of someone to talk to anything and everything about. Isla somehow becomes that person without planning it. However, she's protecting her heart all the way.

Will Isla be able to trust love again?

Many bad memories cause her to be the way she is. She desperately wants to forget her past, including some bad things she experienced, but the memories stay stuck in her mind. Dylan has three best friends who help her get by. The only three people she 100% trust and doesn't like to.
