A story of two utterly shattered people.
Karl and Sapnap are both living in North Carolina in their early twenties. Karl is a drop-out university student, meanwhile Sapnap is an attending university student.
Karl lives a life fighting against himself every day, filled with brokenness and anger towards himself. Sapnap lives a life somewhat full of distractions and happiness.

Sapnap is a psychology student who has been allowed to work into a mental hospital for a few months so to gather the informations he needs to write his final thesis. The building is very large, with dozens of patients with different mental illnesses and peculiar behavior for him to study. Several are here by their own choice, wishing to get better and re-enter society, but some... are forced to stay, for they are a danger to others and themselves. Unfortunately, a young boy by the name of Karl, belongs to the latter group.
