Year 2097, humans are devastated with the after effects of rapid technological advancement. Gadgets like cellular phones to software including computer systems created many years ago, silently altered the genetic make-up of human beings, cutting their lifespan by half.
The desperation of humans was answered when a cure was made by a leading university. This gift from the heavens, that was meant to save, brought hell to mankind. The cure made hundreds of thousands human births in a day with a normal life span, but its side effects created humans with a new genetic set up. These brand new human had defects like having an extra eye and six fingers. Normal humans despised the new species with the fear of them ruling the world. Raging wars occurred, until both sides had innumerable casualties. The day of the King’s Wrath, as the humans who survived called it, was the day when all of the defective species were annihilated and humans decreased in number to a hundred.
The remaining humans created a method to make their numbers rapidly rise again and it was called Clowning. This method avoids the act of copulation to reduce defects but instead manipulating human cells to create a perfect human; with perfect thinking and a perfect body. This new species called Newborns are starting to create a perfect world, every human’s livid dream.
Eros Cervantes is a human survivor, who made himself a researcher in order to unravel the secrets of
Clowning. Follow his story as he tries to adapt in a world where perfect thinking Newborns already rule. Enter his mind with ideals that are different from others and his ultimate perception that humans should not be perfect, for they have to experience mistakes and pain, for they are no God.
