The international announcement had excited everyone, especially the people who couldn't have dreamed of paying for one of the expensive trips even if they used every penny that had.
People like Tom Simons.
Imagine to teen's surprise when his name was announced, among the other 49, as chosen to board the spaceship and escape the dying planet.

No one could have known that the trip was destined for disaster.

Tommy is one of the randomly selected people to board the Stelar Mission Passenger Craft, or the S.M.P.C, and journey to A-276I9, one of the planets meant to become the new Earth for those lucky enough to escape the dying planet.
Unfortunately, the hopes and dreams of the other 49 passengers were never to be realized as Tommy finds that he was the only one to wake up from his cryogenic pod after the ship's crash landing on A-276I9.
Tommy has little hope of survival until a group of unfamiliar people find him.
A group of creatures with the nerve to call him the alien.
