But those plans changed. On the night of their graduation party something horrible happens to Bentley and she immediately leaves town, and Ransom, accepting a summer course that will allow her to move into college early. And she stays gone for 14 years, only coming home for Christmas. But when her dad gets sick, and she moves back home to help her mom take care of him, old demons resurface. Will Ransom ever be able to forgive her for leaving? Will Bentley be able to confront the pain from her past? Or will they always be falling apart together?
