After experiencing the ultimate betrayal, Rhona Boyle returns from the city of Glasgow to her hometown of Tavish Brig feeling like a failure. Although she is welcomed back with open arms by her family, she still feels worthless and unlovable. One evening, drunk and dejected, she meets a handsome stranger through a freak accident.
