Hayden Lovelace can't think. Her brain is always far away, even without the illegal pills she takes. Things that normally should be associated with each other are not. Connections aren't made. Her mind is faded, no matter if she's on drugs or not. The pills help her calm down when her parents fight, when she has horrible flashbacks that involved the boy that did not want to be saved, or when she saw Finn, a boy she was hopelessly in love with but has distanced himself from her.
When Rowan Parker moves back into town after spending months with an aunt, Hayden is shocked to see the difference. Gone is the hurt, abused boy that she had saved before he left. Here was an attractive, sweet mysterious boy that would knock her off her feet.
But when she heard the shots inside her school, she discovers that the outside might look different, but that does not mean the inside is. She learns that unhealed, untreated trauma that is brought to the surface could make a person lose all their progress. She learns that maybe, just maybe, if she had woken up long enough to see the signs, this wouldn't have happened.
This story is about a girl with an empty soul and a foggy brain. A broken bullied boy. They share a past that will bind them together forever-after all, she's the reason he's still alive today. But he didn't want to stay alive.
And he wants revenge.

This story sucks, don't read it! It's amazing how quickly your life can change. In a slow town like this, where nothing exciting ever happens, where nothing ever changes, one single moment can alter your life forever, for better, or for worse. Sometimes, we're lucky enough to be able to recognise these particular moments, and take a leap of faith, but, more times than not, they just happen without us even realizing what's going on until it's already too late. Tonight, a simple Saturday night, just like any other, would turn out to be one of the most defining moments of my life. Ace is living a slow life, knowing nothing other than drinking with his friends and the motorcycle club that raised him, waiting to reconnect with his father who has just been released from prison after a fifteen year sentence. Life is simple, though he thought. Until the night he meets Jenna, running from her haunting past and the man that she is desperately trying to escape. Ace is dead set on protecting Jenna, but, as she slowly learns to trust him enough to open up to, he finds himself landing in the middle of a human trafficking operation and a feud that goes way back, between the ringleader and his club. Suddenly, life doesn't seem so simple... Work in progress, especially the blurb! This story has content which may offend some readers. Mild coarse language! Physical and sexual violence! Lots of drug references! First draft! I don't own the cover image! I'm a disappointment to my family!

Declan Chase is about to start the life of his dreams, with a promising career in plastic surgery and a supermodel-with-two-Harvard-degrees fiancée. All that stands in the way is one last month of med school, and a secret that could ruin everything. Callahan Perrin is a young prodigy with a troubled past. Famous since childhood for her unique art, her gift is also her curse. She's got every reason to be happy. A new exhibit that's getting rave reviews. A starring role in her own wildly popular reality TV show. So what is she doing in Belmont Springs Psychiatric Hospital, days after an overdose that might have been intentional? When Dec is assigned to be Callie's med student, neither one of them wants to be there. She's looking to get out of Belmont as fast as possible. He's counting down the days to graduation and his wedding. So what if they share a slightly warped sense of humor, or get so wrapped up in conversation that hours feel like minutes? Forget chemistry. Romance is off limits. After all, who would be crazy enough to fall in love in a psych ward? **Content / Trigger Warning: this story contains scenes of drug use, including an overdose, as well as suicidal ideation (Chapters 4 and 31). **It takes me a second to realize what is happening. Zac is kissing me! He is bloody kissing me!! Something then flashes and I realize Zac just took a picture of us. I push him away and back out of the car. How dare he kisses me and how dare he takes a picture! "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?!!?" I yell at him. He shrugs and hops out the car like this was all a joke. Of course he think its a joke. He is Zac, the most annoying ass hole in the whole universe! "I need to add this to my collection." he says, showing me the picture he just took. I stare at the picture, anger building up inside me. He is so dead!** Katie Stone is your typical good girl and much to her dismay, she just so happens to live with the school player. She hates her life. She really, really hates it. And it's all because of one person: Zac Hansan. Zac is your typical high school heartthrob, who is always flashing his bad boy smile and stealing hearts. Zac loves his life, but not as much as he loves tormenting Katie. But much to Zac's dismay, his insanely good looks and bad boy attitude don't have the slightest effect on Katie. So what happens when these two are connected and dragged into the dark and messy past of their families? It is when this dark secret is revealed that both Katie and Zac are forced to put their differences aside and work together. Their actions will ultimately save their own lives, and they will be forced to make choices they never thought they would have to make. Zoe Adam was a master at pretending. At eighteen, she'd perfected the art of silence, smiling when expected, nodding at the right moments, keeping her secrets tucked away in her heart. It was safer that way. With three siblings, a chaotic dysfunctional Latin household, and parents who wore kindness like a mask, Zoe learned early that love could sting just as easily as it could soothe. Her mother could call her mi vida in one breath, then leave bruises seen and unseen in the next. Her father? He floated in and out, too wrapped in his own storms to notice the ones he left behind. None knew anything. her sisters who witnessed everything but didn't say anything, had their own shields. Not her brother, who tried to be the hero but never saw what needed saving. Zoe kept everything locked inside her feelings, her loneliness, her hunger, her ache, her need until even she forgot what it felt like to be full. Then came Hayden Reid. Nineteen, half-Italian and Puerto Rican, . He moved to London that summer, taking the flat right next door. To most, he was just the new guy with the sharp jaw, quiet hazel eyes, and that permanent don't-get-too-close look. But to Zoe, he was more than that. He was her brother's best friend. The boy who used to tease her when they were kids visiting Italy. The one who disappeared after his parents split and reappeared years later with more muscle, and a haunted look she couldn't stop staring at. Hayden had his own shadows. His past was littered with broken things promises, people, places he no longer called home. Coming back to London was supposed to be a reset, not a reunion. But fate had other plans for him. Now, he lives just a few steps from Zoe's window. Too close to ignore, too far to touch. And despite the years, the distance, and the damage they see each other in a way no one else does. Two hearts with locked doors. Two people who never meant to collide again.
