Prompt: Create a piece of flash fiction that explores what YOU think will happen to the Earth with no human beings on it.

Okay so, this was an assignment I had to do for my English class about a month ago, and I've been meaning to put it on here since I wrote it. This assignment happened while we were reading "The Martian Chronicles" by Ray Bradbury. Fair warning: its kinda depressing due to the topic.

The world has seen many technological advances since the end of the war between Ukraine and Russia, which was both a blessing and a curse. In 2072, a war breaks out between the modern sides of the Allies and the Axis. Americans, Germans and the British Colonies made up the Allies, while Russia, North Korea and China made up the main three of the Axis. The war was at its worst in 2077, when Y/N had just returned from a mission in Russia. He was sent home due to the alleged endangerment of his fellow soldiers; however, this granted him some immunity. His home was in a small town that was populated by no more than 30 people, and nearby was a cryogenics testing facility in the form of a vault. The company that owned it, Vault-Tec, was a government-funded organisation that worked to find ways to preserve human life in the case of global disaster: environmental, nuclear, or otherwise. Due to Y/N's service history, he was allowed into the vault during the nuclear warhead exchange between America and China, and that's where our story starts. In the modern world, humans are the ones in control and live all over the planet. Living on all continents along with various animals ranging from various animals both on land air and water. With the planet consisting of humans, their imaginations range far and wide creating various things for them to enjoy. Of course, some of the imagination can lead to rather odd fantasies, which can gather a lot of folks. The technology has progressed rather far along with the lifestyle of humans.....until a disaster struck. A famous technology company had the intent of creating a teleportation device allowing them to travel to the other side of the plant in a matter of seconds. The initial test seemed to be going rather well with multiple people easily going through it but an unseen electric surge changed everything. The portal started to go out of control causing one of them to exploded while the other one started to suck in everything around it. As one of the individuals was sucked through the portal, his body was reverted to that of a newborn child with all of his memories intact. After exiting the portal and landing safely in a thick forest, he saw that he was in the dead of night. Scared and confusion filled him as he had no idea where he was but what came the next morning utterly shocked him. After falling asleep upon arriving, he woke up and found himself in an odd house that he didn't recognize. As he tried to figure out where he is, the door opened as who entered was a woman with long dark hair......and a set or rather long bunny ears. Not only this, there were two other small infants sleeping next to him with one of them clinging to him. What is this world? Who are these people and what are they? Are there any other humans out there besides him? The answer lies with the passage of time.

This is my take on those stories that have only one human male on a planet full of anthros. You know the ones, where a nuke, virus, or/and war that destroyed the human race except for one and for some unexplain reason ten years later furries rule the earth with a fully functioning government and technology. Oh, and sometimes this human has all the powers of comics and mange for also unexplained reason or another. With every character is spelled out on these bio picks before you even read the story, ruining any suspension or mystery the story could have. Sorry, went on a little rant but I have a hard time reading those kinds of stories, so I decided to make my own. So the actual story; A human crash landed onto a alien world where the dominant species are ten feet tall female wolves. Now he have to survive this warrior world that seeks to use him or destroy him, but under his meek facade is something much more then any one could imagine. Hope you enjoy.

Twenty years after the end of the Cyborg War, the last cyborgs try to hijack a starship on its way to terraform an alien world. They want the new colony to be a cyborg colony in which they will rebuild their strength and practice their way of life. During the fighting, though, the starship is damaged, so that instead of travelling light years across space it ends up a billion years in the future, alongside a planet Earth that is near the end of its life. The cyborgs, momentarily defeated, leave the ship in a captured landing craft and go down to the planet, but before they go they sabotage the ship so that it is no longer able to support life. The crew have no choice but to follow them down to the planet where they have to fight not just the cyborgs but also forms of life a billion years more evolved than humans. Creatures that have grown tough and hardy in an attempt to cope with the increasingly harsh conditions that prevail there. As if things weren't bad enough, there is conflict among the ship's crew as they fight to decide which of them will be in charge and how they will meet the challenges facing them, and even if they survive all this they will still have to deal with the discovery of the ultimate fate that awaits all intelligent life in the universe...

It's been years since the collapse. Countless lives lost, history, and cultures forgotten to the horrors we live today. As it stands now, only a fraction of the settlements survived since the start of the war against the monsters described outside the wall that protects us. The only way to move around the world is by air. The seas became deadly with mutated wildlife and the ground too dangerous because of the monsters that roam our once great cities. Now its time to make a change join the Atlas and find a way to aid humanity and Stand againts anything that might threaten us and find a way to live with a new speacies. With the impossible size of the universe, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that there is life beyond just humans out there. Countless things have lived and died yet one stands above the rest due to the sheer amount of time it has lived. Almost since the beginning of the universe itself has it existed; a biological monster that would destroy and consume anything in its path. Planets, asteroids, entire stars even; whatever got in this things way wouldn't stay in the way for very long. It was a repetitive existence until one day the abomination met its match in the form of an absolutely enormous star. It ended with a draw that sent the abomination rocketing off in a random direction away from the place it had been consuming for so long. It traveled for millions upon millions of years before finally coming to a stop just outside of some odd new planet brimming with life. Along the way through space, it gained awareness of its surroundings so it was now able to choose what to do with this odd planet. Consume or Explore . . .
