The Ability Era by WallflowerPerpetual

Disclaimer: There is some violence(blood and gore), and some crude language. This story is currently under hiatus. Not sure when I will continue. The story revolves around this organization called the Intergalactic Brigade Force(IBF) which is kind of like a special police made up of people with abilities(powers). The ability persons(AP's) are ranked by letter, Squad A being the best, and Z the worst. The beginning of the story focuses on Squad Y and their mission to stop an arms dealer called Red Coyote. The focus shifts away from them and shows the perspective of a plethora of characters such as a robot cowboy, a crazy mind controller, some weird prison inmates, and later shifts to a school of AP children. I think some may find it boring and maybe complicated but I hope you enjoy if you choose to read.

a transcription of a story i wrote in 5th grade, from an old notebook thats falling apart. the shower thought turned ambitious murder mystery xenofiction that spawned my current story, The Wolves of Evergreen just so you know, it is fairly directionless and will end in the middle of a sentence, but i still think its really cool and genuinely love the worldbuilding. i will likely incorporate some aspects of this such as the underground tunnels into TWoE Vocabulary: Hoopine - Deputy (like warrior cats) Nata - Healer Penglai - Guard. there are two per Pride Tabul - Apprentice (warrior cats) Neful - i think this is basically younger than tabul-age? Cetere - adult member of a Pride Naffe - sunbaked meat patty Kantash Strand - a grass strand in a woven bracelet, awarded for certain accomplishments. the more strands one has, the higher their rank Scataray - pickaxe Timays - idk i think its like dumplings or something i dont remember

M'kay. So you know choose your own adventure books? Basically at the end of each chapter you can comment on a line to vote for choices that will impact the story (example: Do they chase after someone or let them go in favour of doing something else). These choices will impact the story, development of characters, and even who lives or dies. You will have no information about what these choices will do beyond what the characters know, much like in if you were in their situation. This is a au, (I love aus so so so much) in which they have powers. Not saying who, what, when, where, or why yet and unless you make the choices that lead to discovery you simply won't find out. Some things WILL happen, regardless of choices (for example, if choice A lead you to meeting Patton and choice B lead you to Logan, You would still meet both, but the one who is voted for will be a more significant character, but it will be fairly equal) early on in the story choices may appear twice, allowing a second chance to discover that character/event/info, and choices will be fairly obvious (ie, Patton at a dog park, Logan at a Library) but as stakes get higher it gets harder. Can you discover the truth and keep everyone alive? I have a main story so updates will be infrequent. Which choice will be decided when I write the next chapter based off who has the most votes at the time. I may write all alternate endings in the distant future if people want, but I won't get ahead of myself. Yeah, ok I doubt anyone's still here. A new take on the first novel of the Anti-Hero story line, with updated and polished writing. Expanding and rewriting the story along with adding never before scenes and characterizations with most of the original story beats along the way. This is not the official canon novel, however I'd like to think of it as an alternative universe. You might recognize some things, and see new ones as well. This is also a test for the audience to see how my writing has improved over the years. See which one does best. This is a demo, and will only be up to eight chapters before the main plot of the story unfolds. So if this gets enough traction and if people like this version more, then I'll continue writing it and make this one the canon version instead. You follow the story of Lieutenant Hugh Sterwitz, and Operator Kyle Lewis. Two Human insurgents dead set on bringing down the Anthros.
